Wrapping yourself in a wollen sweater.
Op 14 juli 2015 werd bekend, dat bij de Europese finale van de Woolmark Prize in Antwerpen Nanna van Blaaderen en Jonathan Christopher, alle twee alumni van WdKA’s bachelor Mode, de prijzen hebben gewonnen in respectievelijk de categorie vrouwenkleding en mannenkleding.
Wat ben ik blij dat ik een prachtig lang handgemaakt vest van haar heb kunnen bemachtigen begin dit jaar, wat een fantastische mooie collectie heeft Nanna.
Wrapping yourself in the warm of a wollen vest. As it would be a fur, a second skin. Inspired to the animal world, to the African wildlife, they are wollen clothes completely handknitted by the Dutch fashion designer Nanna van Blaaderen. Intentionally voluminous and oversized, they convey the strong relationship between garments and body, their need of protection and constant vulnerability. Sweaters, dresses and fine cloaks outline sophisticated silhouettes, covering bodies with angelic and light forms, almost sheer, wrapped in the snow-white wool.
